One of the places I wanted to visit on our holiday was Bleu Lavande in Stanstead, QC. Having just visited La Maison Lavande in late June, I was eager to see the lavender fields in full bloom. We got back in the car after a well deserved rest on Tuesday afternoon and headed out to find the lavender.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a small field of happy flowers.
Our first look at the lavender field.
It’s been a really dry summer with little rain and it seems that the lavender is not as lush as I had hoped for.
The bees were busy at work.
There were lots of people roaming the fields.
Everything seemed so dry. It was mid day and the sun was beating down on us.
We did stop to take some selfies among the lavender.
There were three sand castles on the site. One was near the main entrance at the top of the hill.
Another was positioned in the middle of the field near some picnic tables where you could have lunch.
The last one was close to the entrance to the spa area.
Blue Lavande offers massages, for an extra charge, on top of the hill over looking the lavender.
A 20 minute foot massage for $20.00 or a 60 minute full body massage for $90.
There is a gift shop full of lavender products from soap, creams, honey, teas, etc. and lavender sold from a bathtub.
We enjoyed our visit wandering around the fields.
The tree, the lavender and the picnic table. Harmony.
Hot and tired, we headed back to Sutton to enjoy a glass of wine, watch some tennis and check in on my new friends in the pond. Ribbit!!
